When will CDTV be available? How much will its add-ons cost? Would it be
wise to wait for the CDTV unit, then buy a keyboard and disk drives, or to
buy an A500 now and purchase the CD-ROM add-on later?

The release date for CDTV has not been announced. Neither have the prices
except that it is to be under $1000. We have heard all kinds of rumors –
but no facts.

Betty, at the grocery store the other day, I saw Video Magazine… I picked
it up, thumbed thru it, looking for the appropriate place… and found a
mention of CDTV. Wasn't a glowing report, but it was favorable. –Eet–

Commodore has not (to my knowledge) provided firm shipping dates for CDTV.
Clearly they would be rational if they wanted it available by Christmas.
If you doubt that you'll ever program or run an application that requires a
keyboard, then you're better off awaiting CDTV proper than buying an A500
now. How _do_ you like to spend your computer/home-entertainment time?
