Pagestream 2.0 Graphics
8 messages in this thread
Is anyone having trouble with Pagestream 2.0 as I am? I try to import
graphics, and the dialog box comes up saying the graphic is not supported
by any of the import modules. But the module is there plus the graphic is
one of their own supplied examples. This thing is driving me crazy. Please,
anyone, suggestions.
Roger,
I just received my PgS 2.0 upgrade yesterday. I have had no problem
importing IFF images (have not had a chance to try all the others). Are you
running off of a hard disk. If so are you sure you have deleted all the 1.8
related drivers and import modules? The directory structure has been
changed for PgS 2.0. Printer drivers and import modules have now been
separated into their own directories. Is yours set up that way? Since I
have had no problems, it sounds as if PgS 2.0 can't "find" the correct
import module the way you have it set up. Without more information this is
only a wild guess.

Thanks Paul, You were right. Pagestream couldn't "find" the modules. I am
running off of floppies, though. Now that it's working correctly I've run
into another problem, though. I'm trying to output to a color 24 pin
printer using the EpsonQC driver but all I get is a form feed with NO
printing. I've been working around this by using the EpsonQCW driver which
DOES work, but still wonder about the other Epson driver. Also I try using
the LQ2550 driver with color but get only B/W. Any suggestions there.
Thanks for the help on the other problem, I see you helping out on this
forum quite often. Thanks, Roger
Roger, I just read a posting on SL's BBS that they know that there IS a
problem with the Epson driver, and that they are working on it. I'll let
you know if I see a posting of a new Epson driver over there. -Paul-
Roger –
Go to your Globals menu and set up your pathnames. The program expects
some files to be in certain places unless you tell it different through the
Set Paths (or something like that) requestor. That should fix things.
Harry
Roger,
Did you set up your "Set/Save Paths" under the "GLOBAL" menu item? You
need to have it set for your DRIVERS subdirectory, and you need the NEW 2.0
DRIVERS (ONLY!) in that subdirectory.
It really does work. I've imported every kind of graphic that is
currently supported – and they work just fine.

Thanks Harry & Lloyd, You were right about the Paths. Here's another
question, though. I've tried Hi-res graphics and couldn't get them to work.
Do they work for you? Thanks again ..Roger
Roger,
Glad you found your "problem". Do you mean loading a hi-res IFF graphic
and printing it? If so, yes it works properly. What is your setup? What
printer, how much RAM, etc.?
