imagine/toaster

Was just wondering if anyone there knows how to get 24-bit files rendered
in IMagine to display on the Toaster? I have tried making them a background
but that only works for the first frame. It seems that the first frame is
not unloaded and that there is no space left to render/load it.
Any ideas? I have alot of animations that have been rendered already in
imagine and NEED to display them in 24buts. Any ideas ?

eli,
I have not used Imagine and do not have any information regarding
it. You might post a message in on of the other Amiga forums, since there
might be some users whom have used both products.

Rad,
Impulse is in this forum. I know patriotism probably prevents you from
enabling that section or owning Imagine – just thought you might like to
know you're neighbors! :^}
I do not have any section enabled other than section 3, and I
forgot that Impulse was here, but then again, a message in any of the Amiga
Forums would probably get an answer from a wide variety of users. It seems
that not all users (Video Toaster included) drop by the Vendor forums. As
far as owning product…well, I am a moose and hoof a very limited budget
so most of the Amiga products I own were given to me and I do not hoof
Imagine. Since I hoof not had a use for it, it has not been a problem,
until now.
Gee, wish someone would give me a toaster ;^} I got tired of waiting and
have ordered one. I am scheduled for installation and "check ride" on Wed
(Local Toaster dealer is a CBM VAR and insists on installation and a
session of pointing out how to use the Toaster as well as what
equipment/software to use to do what you want in Vidoe at the time the
Toaster is installed. I'm told to plan on a two hour session with the
Video expert while his partner does the installation – neat huh?)

Boy Wayne, it must be nice to get that type of service. Did you have to
pay a fortune to recevice this??

Paul,
I've been off for a while so I may have lost the thread – but I assume you
are referring to the Toaster installation. I paid about $200 more for the
Toaster, GVP 33mhz Accelerator Q105 LPS HD combination than I would have by
going to the CHEAPEST mail order. That figure is high since I am making no
allowance for having to go to 2 sources if I went m/o to save the 200 and I
did not allow for shipping. If I have a problem with the boards, I just
take them back to the VAR who installed them. The installation/dry runs
took place last Friday and I am happy that I did it this way. It was 200
well spent, IMHO.

Thanks Wayne
I plan sometime this fall or being of next year to buy a toaster. /

I too have run into th Imagine / Toaster incompatability problem.
My only seggestion is first render your Imagine frame in ILBM24 then load
them in to a graphic manipulation program like The Art Department. Then
save them again. I don't konw why this works but it dose. Now you said
somthing about animation, to the best of my knowlage you can't animate with
the toaster (except in lightwave) but how does that help if you are useing
Imagine? Brad Hayes ?exit
See Doug Downing's note about using ADPro to convert Imagine's 24-bit
pics to 24-bit Toaster can eat.
Another option might be Convert, a 24-bit converter program found in the
Black Belt library as CVT.LZH, I believe. This may do the trick as well.
