#Need help w/exp mem card

I've run into a little trouble trying to configure an expanded mem board
(Boca RAM AT I/O Plus) to use with the 2286, and am hoping someone here
could help me out.
The board needs 4 contiguous pages of high mem in order to function, but
only two pages are available. My VGA card uses addresses C000C7FF and
apparently the Janus dual-port mem uses a huge chunk from D000-EFFF.
Is it possible to move either the VGA or dual-port mem to another address?
I'd prefer finding out a way to move the VGA mem, considering that the 2286
manual states that moving the dual-port mem to a different address causes
all the Janus utils to fail.
Any help would be appreciated.

I believe A000 to AFFF is open on the AT.

Thanks for the reply. However, according to a PD mem analyzer, a000-afff
is where the VGA video mem is located. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem
to be anyway to relocate the address used by the VGA card. And relocating
the dual-port mem would result in the loss of all Janus functions.
To any 2286 BB owners:
Have any of you successfully installed both a VGA card _and_ an expanded
memory card at the same time? It seems to me to be impossible, due to the
fact that the dual-port mem uses up too much address space. I'd be happy if
someone could prove me wrong on this.

Ok, I didn't realize you have a VGA card installed. I've got an XT
BB and only hte built in emulation modes. However, those modes use 2
chunks between B000 and BFFF (b000 to b200 and b800 to bfff I believe). If
you've got a separate video adapter, and disable both color and mono modes
via the jumper and PC Prefs I _believe_ those areas free up.
Also…what is hanging at E000 on your system?

Actually, in order use a separate video card, you already have to
disable the built-in video emulation modes, since the card will use some of
the same address as the emulated modes do.
So, yes I do have the built-in modes disabled, and it doesn't seem to
help.
<sigh> Having to worry about interrupts, addresses, and memory conflicts
when configuring these IBM cards makes me appreciate my Amiga more and
more.

The Janus software should only be using 64K, from D000 to DFFF.
According to a dealer I know, the conflict between VGA and EMS can
generally be solved by disabling the BIOS on the VGA board. Your manual for
the VGA card should tell you how.

BIOS can be disabled.
However, doesn't disabling the BIOS mean you disable the card too?
Wouldn't this mean I could only use one card at a time? (either the mem or
the VGA)?
