Has anyone managed to get 1 Amiga set up to run ADOS, Windows, Amax and to use Amiga and Messy Dos and Mac CD ROMS yet ? Is this likely to be possible ? Russ – via Whap!

Russ, I do have my Xetec CD Rom running on the XT Bridgeboard, the Chinon PC controller, using MSDOS 3.3. I have the drive hooked through an A/B switchbox so I can switch between the IBM/Amiga sides easily. I haven't purchased Amax yet, but don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, and plan on trying it in the near future. All I would need is to get a copy of the Chinon driver for the Mac, and possibly the Amax driver for the 3000, and I should be all set. I asked Xetec about this and they pretty much said the same thing. So when I get Amax and the software, I'll let you know what happens. John (in beautiful downtown Walla Walla) – via Whap!

John, I appreciate your postings on treble OS Amiga's. Thanks for taking the point on this. I wonder if the AT Once board would have the same ability to address the chinon controller as the C= BB's ? I would really like to have a 386 BB (I am spoiled from my machines at work) in my Amiga. I wonder when someone will deliver on that one? Keep us posted! Russ – via Whap!

Russ, well if what I read in a recent European magazine is true, you can now get a board for the ATonce that goes between the AT and one of the IBM slots in the 2000. This will allow you to plug in IBM boards, like the Chinon controller. I'm not sure how compatible it will be, so we will just have to wait for user reports from that area or someone brave enough here in the US to try it out.
