Hello,
I Just received notification (in the good old U.S. mail) of an upgrade
to Flow. I am returning the proper form, check, and disk today, but since
I've had to wait extremely long periods of time for other product upgrades
(not from your company), I was wondering if you are currently shipping Flow
3.0?

We have not yet released Flow 3.0 for shipment. The final version has
passed the beta sites and has been undergoing a test suite in house for the
last few weeks. It should be shipping the end of this month or the first
week of August.

I haven't seen anything here talking about Flow 3.0, and would be very
interested in hearing what improvements had been made. Have I missed a
description of the product here?
I'm sure other potential customers would be interested in this info, and
hope you're close enough to shipping that the features are locked-in and
you can talk about them.

two time formats.

Flow is similar to Thinker, isn't it? I bought Thinker a long time ago and
had been wondering about Flow (I don't have need for either, so I probably
won't run out and buy Flow).
1. Is it Hypertextual? Can I point at something and have it jump to a
reference that matches that something (hypertext lookup)?
2. Can the Flow document be exported into straight ASCII (so I could take
it to work and work on it)?
3. Is there a light-weight, distributable, Flow document reader available
(might be useful as a help system for other programs)? You know, create
the document in Flow and then let others read it with this reader.
4. Can you give any examples of people creating actual work with Flow and
what that work is like?

1. Flow is not hypertextual. It is just an outliner or idea processor.
2. Flow documents can be exported as straight ASCII.
3. There is no Flow format reader, however you can export it as ASCII and
use any standard text reader.
4. Writers, programmers, and many others can use Flow. Writers use it to
move parts of books around, such as chapters and paragraphs.
Programmers
like it's collapse/expand feature where text inside loops and other
programming constructs are hidden and can be exposed to any level. On
the new Flow 3.0 disk are some sample projects which include a list of
all articles appearing in AmigaWorld and Amazing Computing magazines,
an Amiga product list, tropical fish, business management seminar plan,
and presidential birthdays sans Mr. Bush.
