I recently switched from a 386 clone to a Gateway 486/33. I use a Supra
9600 external modem with Pro-YAM software, in particular, the graphics
version. I've got the latest upgrade as of a few weeks ago. With the
Gateway, during a fast-and-furious download using Zmodem or CIS-B
protocols, I've been getting a "Serial Input Error / Line Status Register
LSR 02" error. Might there be something wrong with my Gateway's modem
port, my cable, or what?
"Serial Input Error / Line Status Register LSR 02" error indicates
something is hogging interrupts, such as a poorly written BIOS hard disk
driver. Possible solutions are discussed in the manual "Error Messages"
chapter under "Serial Input Error".
