#Downloading problems
5 messages in this thread
I am having a terrible time trying to download anything. I'm using Baud
Bandit v. 1.5 and I've tried every protocol I can find but no luck. Most
of the time Baud Bandit just sits there till the time out period is up and
then it self-aborts (xmodem, ymodem) but if I use B+ protocol, all I get is
errors (boy they can sure count up fast too!). What am I doing wrong? Baud
Bandit creates the file on the source volume, but nothing ever gets put
into it. I have managed to download the Cross Dos docs from their bulletin
board but I ended up having to use zmodem because I couldn't get anywhere
with x or y? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Bradley,
Try the following MODEM & CONFIGURATION settings:
Baud Rate : 2400
Data Bits : 8
Paraity : None
Stop Bits : 1
Char Mask : ON
Duplex : Full
Word Wrap : OFF
Priority : 0
Printer : OFF
Capt Wrap : ON
Handshake : None
Buffer Size: 8192
Protocol : YModem-G
QuickRend : OFF
Interlace : ON
Planes : 3
CIS-B Plus : ON
Auto Baud : OFF
True CR/LF : OFF
Serial I/O : ON
NOTE: I listed ALL settings in my MODEM & CONFIGURATION window they work
for me I have no problems fully automating UPLOADING, DOWNLOADING in the
Amiga Forums with Baud Bandit (The above settings will also work at 9600
baud).
Your PHONE BOOK entry should include:
|Baud|Setup |
Thanks Gary. I'll give it a try.
Thanks. I'll give your suggestion a try and let you know.
Bradley,
My last message was cut short by line noise it should continued to say:
Be sure to include the following in your PHONE BOOK ENTRY:
|Baud| Setup|

All I can say is, "It works for me!"
