#Acc. prog. 2286 board.
6 messages in this thread
Folks, I am freelancing now and would like comments on a cheap but usefull
accounting program. Quicken on the PC world supposedly will fit me nicely,
but I have an Amiga not a PC, unless there is a version for the amiga. Also
any comments on a 2286 board ? pro-cons ? what programs does it run ?
AutoCAD ? 123 ? dbase ? etc…?
thanks in advance, if anybody needs a UNIX consultant I am for hire!

Ed,
Every program I have tried on my 2286 has run just fine. I use ROOTSIII
and Quicken mostly, but have tried several others, including some beta
testing of genealogy software for the PC. No problems getting ANYthing to
run on it.

what is the current list price ?
I'm sorry – I don't know much about the list prices of anything any more. I
know that they dropped the prices a lot a year or so ago, but I've no idea
what they are now.

Current List is like $799, street at like 700. Phasar runs on the Amiga
for home use and there is also Home Front For more heavy duty use turn to

Thanks, Tom. I hope the reader who asked about these programs picks this
up. I would forward them to him, except that I cannot recall who asked!
(Bet you didn't remember either, right?)
