Betty, Are you going to install one of the DOS 5's, on your Bridgeboard? I know MSDOS 5.0 can be installed, but I just had to be different and try DR DOS 5.0. I've given up on getting it to work by myself. This is where I get to test all the technical available. The message about the MSDOS 5.0 installation was on the Starship on GEnie. Sincerely, (Mr.) Gayle Lee Fairless 'Perfessor Fearless'

I hear so many complaints about DOS 5.0 (from the people who use IBM machines, mostly) that I have decided to wait for 5.1 before I even consider it. I really don't need it anyway. I'm still using 3.3, and it works fine with the two applications I use on the BB. Betty

Gayle: I've used MS-DOS 3.3 with the Bridgeboard and a stand-alone PC I've got. But yesterday I saw a special on DR-DOS for $40 (with Lotus Magellan tossed in for another $20) and I grabbed it. I've got 30 days to see if it works before I can't get my money back. According to the docs, DR-DOS is essentially compatible with MS-DOS 3.3, plus of course all its enhancements. I wasn't planning to load it onto my Bridgeboard, rather, the other computer, but if I get a chance I'll give it a go and compare notes with you. I see no reason why it shouldn't run, but… .
