Hi Martin, I've imported a CHAOS mesh into 3DS2 and made mirror copies of the mesh to make an expanded landscape. This model does not fail during rendering, but another model will prepare the mesh then re-boot my system. This is a hard-type reboot, all the way back to memory count. I seem to feel it's to do with the amount of memory in my system. The failing machine is a 486/25 w/ 8mb ram. My other machine that renders properly is a 486/33 w/ 16mb. I think we could help you more if we got more information about your system. BobP – Product Support / Autodesk
