Of course, with PPage3/PDraw3 you get a utility that will convert
PostScript fonts to CompuGraphic format and that would avoid your having to
use bitmap fonts.

Except that the utility doesn't work on any of the hundreds of fonts
downloaded from local BBS systems…. Those same fonts work fine in
PageStream. Gold Disk is very weak in the font area.
