Because it does for me exactly what I want, with fairly powerful macros and
good quality output.
It's true that there are many other packages around nowadays that can do
better, but when I bought Word Perfect for the Amiga it was by far the most
powerful package around. Therefore, like so many users, I have become
familiar with it and, as I say, it does everything I could possibly want in
a word processor.
If I were buying a wp today, WP may not be my first choice … but, with
its spelling checker, thesaurus, contents/indexing, outliner, maths and
column output it would certainly be close to the top of the list for
consideration.

This isn't for you Mike, but I thought I'd just stick this in here since I
saw WordPerfect in the title.
We had a couple of users call asking if they could send in a WordPerfect
title page and disk to qualify for our PowerUp offer. While the offer is
