When you're zipping through messages, trying to read everything (as Betty
said) it's hard to pay attention to headers. Your understanding how
ORIGINATE works is correct… I gues we just need to make THIS thread
_more_ interesting than the old one!

The A600 is selling here in NZ, for several months now and I finally
saw one in a dealers shop last week. They have modified the A500 a fair
bit. At first glance it looked like a keyboard ala A1000 but alas no. They
have taken off the Numeric Keypad plus the arrow/del/help end of the A500
and then "thickened" up the rear of the resulting keyboard so that it has
a wedge shaped look. There is no extended area out the back like the A500.
I guess I could describe it as a keyboard with the CPU packed in
underneath.
So it is a new Amiga of sorts.

I just heard that in England the price of the A600 has been dropped from
399 pounds to 299 pounds, too.
