#ANI abort incident
4 messages in this thread
I have been having the following incident occur frequently, but not
consistently.
When I invoke ANI, I get the message:
Abnormal Program Termination: Segment not Present
CS:EPS 02B3h:00002B44h
Once this happens, it continues to happen. If I cold boot it may or may
not happen.
The same message occurs if I try to invoke ANIPLAY.
I run a 486/33 with 32MB, DOS 5.0, have a Targa+ 16/32, DiaQuest DQ422, a
CD-ROM, and Lantastic AI.
I've attempted swapping out SIMMS to see if it was memory. No.
I've tried to find a pattern. If any pattern exists, it happens after 3DS2
has been entered and exited, or while Lantastic network is up.
A clue? When I enter/exit ANI the setup time is very long, and exit is even
longer, 2/3 minutes or so.
All comments, and advice appreciated.

Steve, do you have a copy of QEMM? If I were you, I'd install it and see
if perhaps your problem is related to your current memory manager.

QEMM I do have. But am using 386MAX currently. Will continue to experiment
to get rid of the Abnormal Termination message when invoking ANI.
Thank you.

Steve:
I think it has to do with all of the lightning that you get there! <grin>.
Seriously, even though you may have been specific, I missed your problem. I
don't know 386Max, but maybe I can help you out. Can you post the contents
of your config.sys and autoxec.bat file, unformatted, to me?
