Do you know if the executable music files that GVP's Digital Sound Studio creates can be freely distributed ?? I have a lot that I would like to offer trough my BBS. Fernando, FC Video Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Fernando, Executable file ? how do you do that? i thought DSS was only producing sample files(that you need a player for them) I have to check my documentation again. bye

Michael, DSS can be used to create samples, and these samples can be used with DSS' Tracker to create four-track sound files like SoundTracker ones. Each Tracker file can be saved as a song (only notes without intruments data), as a module (SoundTracker .MOD files) or also as an auto-executable Run-Module. In this case, the Run-Module can be heard without DSS or any player, simply execute the file from CLI or double-click on it's icon and it will play in the background!. All this is explained on page 110 of DSS documentation. I guess maybe you have an older version of the software. (I have V1.15) I hope something of this was of help.
