Hmm., I checked at newstands in No. California in the middle of Dec. and never found a January issue. I supposedly had one of my pictures published in the Jan. issue but I never got to see it. They paid me for it. :).

I really have no idea what the picture was for. I submitted it a while ago when they were asking for pictures to publish. I guess they publish 'works of art' created on the Amiga. It was a pic that I did with Imagine and it was abstract.

We received a copy of the January issue of AmigaWorld. The main feature article is a Buyers Guide to AGA compatible software. Unfortunately, not a mention of our Scala MultiMedia MM210 or MM300 product, nor our Scala InfoChannel product. We'll have to fix this right away, right AW? Darn ! I'm not a subscriber and there definitely is something wrong with the way that magazine is distributed here – Southern Oregon. Well the whole magazine thing is pretty pathetic – let us not talk about record distribution either. We made a 'cultural run' to the Bay area before Xmas. Oh well, I guess I'll have to be happy with the snow-covered mountains and the breathable air :).

Darn ! ? – 'cause I went to such an effort to find it on the newsstand. I think the distributor messed up in this area and January came and went. Not too many newsstands carry it here anyway – maybe two. You know … "did you say OmegaWhirl – we have MacWorld and Good Housekeeping ".

Margaret, I have the January issue of AmigaWorld. Your picture is the one called the Fandancer. Its on Page 59 of the magazine. Margaret, I bought a copy on the newsstaand at Newark Int'l. Reading it on the 'plane back to England, my wife, who is not at all interested in computers, leaned across and pointed at your picture: "That's wonderful – how did she do that?" I did Brainy but I didn't submit that to Amigaworld. There may be another Brainy around. I gave the world my Brain object set as well :).

Ohh, how weird. That was the outcome of somebody here looking for a brain object – very strange comments in that thread. After I saw a picture of "House Organ" by Masayoshi Obata in Wired, I decided modeling body parts was not my calling in life. Can't look at that before breakfast.

I subscribe to AW and have the January issue in front of me. BTW the February issue is already out. The January cover has an Amiga 4000 and what looks loke a 1950 monitor sitting on it (it's quite blurry), there are also bubbles that contain a reflection of the 4000 and monitor. The monitor has a couple of fish on the screen. There is no mention of the origin of the picture. Jim R. Ollick Using AP from Bergenfield, NJ
