PETER, The "TBC" in the AG-1970 is NOT a true Time Base Corrector. It's not even close to a TBC. Even Panasonic will admit (and has, though not too loudly) that it is a Field Stabilizer and does not perform time base correction. The TBC button is definately mislabeled. BTW, you don't need a full frame TBC for the Toaster. The AG-7750/7650 series have a 16 line TBC and work beautifully with the Toaster. Full frame TBCs will allow you to freeze a frame of video in the TBC itself. Peter

Jerry: What's the cost for 3/4 SP equipment? For a couple of source machines and a recorder? Since you've been scaring me so much, I ought to at least find out how much extra it would cost. Thanks. David

Howdy David, if you buy USED you can Save ALOT of $$$ but you must be Careful. Ask Steve at B & H if they have any used 3/4" decks.

Peter: Steve Schwartz sent me a message saying he didn't handle video, so he said I need to talk to Sam Stern instead. I'll ask him about used stuff. Thanks. David
