#GVP and TOASTER
3 messages in this thread
We've got several Amiga 2000 based systems running Toasters and A3001
boards with zero problems. How long have you had your A3001? I understand
that getting support from GVP can be frustrating, but don't worry, your
system will work! Are you using Workbench 2.0 as well? There was a ROM
upgrade from the early A3001s, which you should be able to get with no
problem if you have an outdated ROM. Let me know how it turns out.
Regards,
Just to jump in…
I recently had a problem with a GVP board and found the tech support far
superior to that that of the numerous other amiga oriented companies I've
dealt with. They spent a considerable amount of time with me on the phone
and fedex'ed a replacement board when they ran out of ideas. I wish newtek
were that helpful!
Bill.
Thanks for getting back to me David. I am just about at the point of
returning to my Amiga 200/TOASTER troubles.
To answer your questions:-
1). Have had the GVP A3001 board now for just about 2 years,
2). Yep… I upgraded to WB Ver. 2.0 earlier this year.
3). You are the first to mention the ROM Upgrade for the A3001. When did
this come out? Why the heck does not GVP notify registered owners of these
things! Also wonder if all the little jumpers on the A3001 are set
correctly – they worked fine prior to the TOASTER installation.
If you have any further suggestions or advice…. let me have it.
Thanks again – with regards, HILARY.
