I too just received ProPhone from Global…
But, I NOT very impressed. Can't do a search by phone# (ANY search needs a
name. For all names you must OR the whole alphabet- A|B|C|…, really
slows things to a crawl)
Can't search by street names because number & name are in the same field-
no wildcards, major BUMMER!!!
I'm not very fond of those limitations, either. Maybe the next version will
correct that. It sure would be nice to be able to do a search without
entering a NAME; i.e. a look-up by phone number or address. A powerful
wildcard search would also be useful.
I use it for marketing (the business CD mostly) and find it extremely
useful. I wish the SIC codes were more complete, however. I find too high a
percentage (including my own company) listed as "OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS."
Anyway, at $179 it makes a worthwhile addition to my other marketing
resources.

Without the address/phone# lookups, I can't really find a use for it.
