#Does Hank live here?
8 messages in this thread
Hi..
I was wondering if anyone has ever heards a program called "HANK"? I
had it for my old C64 and the children loved it. It was this little guy,
Hank, who lived in the computer. He had a house with all the necessities
and just exsited. He had music and TV and a typwriter with which he would
send messages out of the computer to whomever might be observing him at the
time. It was really cute. My children BELIEVED this little guy actually
lived there I we could watch him. They have asked if Hank could move to
the Amiga, so here I am trying to find out!
Thanks!

That sounds a little like the "Little Computer People" game. I've seen
that one for the Amiga.
Fern…
I remember HANK! What do you mean your kids "believed this little guy
actually lived there"? You mean he doesn't?
I haven't seen any of his relatives on the Amiga. Sure would be neat to
have HANK on a multitasking machine…. you could just sort of push a
screen to the back and check up on him once in awhile!

Shall we send out an all points bulletin for HANK?
Maybe some1 will find him and upload him for us.

Last I heard, HANK was homeless, living off the kindess of
strangeers…sleeping inside of downed powerlines in Albany, NY.
*sigh*

Michael,
Being a denizen of Albany,NY, I can say that although we have our share of
homeless people, I don't believe that HANK is one of them. We do have,
however, Swivel Head, Political Man, Indian Joe, and of course, Michael the
Archangel (rumored to be leading a pretty regular life, now).
It is a terrible shame that any of these folks have to brave another
Albany winter…and a terrible commentary of present day society.

I just downloaded a file (I think form here in AmigaArts) called
WalkingMan. It's absolutely hilarious! WHen you run WalkingMan, a little
guy just starts wandering all over your screen, moving from window to
window, checking out the icons. He carries a flashlight which he uses if
he gets lost. You can have lots of these little guys wandering around (but
system performance degrades when you have more than one or two. Very cute
hack.

thanks… I'll check it out.
it may not be Hank but could be the black sheep of the family.
