Hello, I recently purchased my upgrade for 3D Studio 2.0 and was looking forward to using the new glow generators. Either I blind or they are not a regular part of the software. I would like to know how and where I can find them. I need them for a project I am working on. Thanks. Ron Collins

Ron, The glow.ixp is going to be available as part of the IXP collection from the Yost Group IPAS library. It's looking extremely likely that we're going to make an October ship date for all 5 collections. If you've sent me the IPAS card that ships with 3DSr2, you should've gotten a status letter in the mail. Hang in there… I'm dancing as fast as I can. (30 IPAS applications have been a LOT of work to develop, test, and document in 5 months) – G

Soory to butt in. Is the IXP collection going to be free to registered 3ds2 users or is there going to be a cost. If they is going to be a change can you give me a ball park figure. Thanks Doug. ( I did receive the status letter but do not remember seeing the answer to this question).

Given the amount of work the IPAS collection has generated for me this summer, I think that the cost of each application is going to be an all-expense paid trip for me to somewhere in the Carribean. (this is the summer I was _supposed_ to take a little time off before diving into r3, but I guess it wasn't meant to be) "Diving?" Did I say Diving? Argh. Seriously now… we've pretty much settled on a price of $50 per individual application, with SIX applications bundled together per collection. So that would be five collections total (IXP, PXP, PXP, AXP, SXP) at $300 per collection. That's the minimum amount any of us have been able to rationalize given the incredible amount of work it's been to produce these things. – G

Since I'm not ready to ship yet, I haven't been talking about the IPAS stuff we've been developing — but it's been hard to keep from spilling some details (much excitement on this end). Things are starting to come together… we've got much testing to do, and we've got to finish up 3-1/2 more particle systems. You'll be amazed. – G

Gary, I guess that trip you took a couple of months back doesn't count eh? Sounds like a good place for "Yost Group South"…… James

A few weeks vacation does not a life make. Sometimes it helps to smell the flowers on a regular basis. – G

Ron – GLOWS.IPX will be part of the bonus IPAS kit that the Yost Group is preparing for shipment in the next month or month and a half. Each registered owner should get one.
