I am about to receive a new 386-40 and would like to install AutoCAD 11 on it. It is coming to me without a math coprocessor and I would like to know if anyone can point me in the direction of a good 387 emulator. I eventually would like to install the "real thing" as soon as funds permit. The fastest I have seen are 33mHz. How will these react in a 40mHz machine? Also, are there any know problems with running AutoCAD 12 on DR DOS 6.0 or DR Multiuser DOS 5.1 that anyone has come across? I would like to upgrade to AutoCAD 12 within the next few months, but I don't want to change OS' to do it.

Jim: First, you should move your message to the ACAD forum… this forum is for 3D Studio, Animator Pro, etc. Second, I don't run AutoCAD in a non-supported environment, be it operating system or simulated math co-processor. My time is too valuable to take risks with… if I'm going to waste it, I want to do that working on these forums or playing golf <grin>. There may be someone there who can tell you about Dr. Dos and co-pro emulators… you also need 4 Megs of ram, minimum, unless you are using the 286 version of R11. C#
