Hey Lou- What's with the "Digital Video"/"Desktop Video World" thing? Trying out a new name? Actually, I think "Digital Video" works better – more flexible. A friend of mine who is an audiophile picked it up on the newstand – he wouldn't have picked up DVW, I think. Keep up the good work – whatever you call your mag – it is a CLASS ACT! mike

Thanks Mike. I have already mentioned this in some other areas, so please feel free to pass it on. Digital Video is Desktop Video Magazine. We have been testing the name of Digital Video all year, although most of the tests have not been highly visible. The issue you mention, Digital Video, is our Aug/Sept issue, and is exactly the same as DTVW. Only the cover is different. Incidently, no decision has yet been made, but if you have a preference, write in and let us know. For those of you who do see a copy of DVW – perhaps you should pick it up. If we don't make the name change those issues might end up collectors items!! Lou

Lou, You might disappopint those who think it is a magazine dedicated to the "biggies" – D2, D3, and the other "can't touch a deck for under 50K" formats. Some of those folks would love a magazine where they could escape the attack of the "Toaster turds" as they call us. They could be royally ripped picking up a copy of DTVW under the title of Digital Video. wmc – via Autopilot!
