#386 BB
5 messages in this thread
I've bought a 386 BB for the 2000. It seems that the only way I can get it to
work is by disabling 2Mb of my Supra memory board (from 6Mb to 4Mb). When I run
Sysinfo it tells me that the BB address is 6Mb ($600000) – is this why I can't
use the other 2Mb?? Is so why doesn't the BB configure at 8Mb which the 286
seemed to ??
Help!!!
Lee
Leroy,
All the bridgeboards require 512K of autoconfig memory space. Since
most memory boards don't have 512K increments…you have to remove 1 or 2 Meg
from the board.

I can understand that – that's why I only had 6Mb of additional RAM in the
first place – but moving from the the 286 to the 386 bb lost me another 2Mb !!
Is the BB installable into the A4000 ??
Lee
Lee,
Yes, the BB is installable in the A4000. I have one up and operational in
my A4000/030.

Leroy,
Humm…I know of no different Amiga memory requirements for the 386 BB
vs the 286BB.
