Markus: If you have the option "noems" I think you will get that error message, just delete it and try running 3ds then. For more info try reading pages 65 and 66 in the r2 installatin & performance guide. Hope that helps, I know it will work. Regards…….Rick – Technical Animations

Markus, If you use EMM386, then 3D Studio only looks at the memory declared as expanded, so this needs to be at least 4 meg. Don Hanson

Don: Up kind of late, don't you have something better to do like sleep <g>. I fixed a friends computer over the phone by having her remove the "noems" switch, but I don't know what else she had going. Nor do I know much about EMM386, I do know that 3ds started working after that. Maybe you could tell Markus how he would declare enough expanded memory so he might get 3ds working correctly.
