We are trying to assess the overhead involved when using E
EnterCriticalSection/LeaveCriticalSection. Does anyone have an idea of the
approximate number of CPU cycles used for these calls? Our proposed design may
use a great number of these calls.

You might re-post this question up on our MSWIN32 developers forum, as our
development support staff monitors that section, as do many other developers
external to Microsoft.
