I am conteplating creating a Win32s application, but am unsure of doing so. I hear it can be quite a channenge. Can anyone provide input: – Should it be performed on an NT or Win16 or both systems? – What are the pitfalls to writing Win32s? Paul Bryan 71052,2031 There is 1 Reply.

Paul, I recommend that you start by reading through the Win32s Programmer's Guide to get an idea of what Win32s really means. You can use the Win32s.dat file located in mstools\bin to test your sources for compatibility with Win32s. Writing a Win32s app is not difficult if you follow the guidelines set down in the Programmer's Guide. The differences are mainly in the areas of multi-threading (not supported under Win32s), security (also not supported) and handle limits imposed by Windows 3.1.
