#Startup doesn't work
5 messages in this thread
Hi there,
Is there some reason that running a win32s program from the startup group under
windows 3.1 does not work? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
Issie

Issie,
I have not been able to reproduce this problem. I have tried FreeCell and
several other applications and they all start without any problems. Have you
tried putting FreeCell into your Startup Group to see if it will run?

Well,
I tried a few things. The problem seems to occur with WINEXIT that is
available on the forum. I found that If I put it first in the startup list, it
does not start. If I place it third, it does not start. If I place it fourth.
(last) then it does start. It seems that WIN32S takes a while to start?. BTW
I am running beta2 for Windows for Workgroups if this makes any difference.
Thanks
Issie

Issie,
I am not familiar with WINEXIT. What does it do? I looked around and could
not find it in the MSWIN32 forum. Also Win32s should be ready to run once
Windows comes up. All of the files are loaded on an as needed basis. I can
have Win32s apps in any order in the Startup Group.
Thanks,

Michael,
The WINEXIT program is availabble on WINNT. I tried moving things around in my
startup group, and now everything seems to work fine. I am not quite sure what
is going on, but I do know that my win32s program was NOT being started before.
I will investigate further, and let you know if I find anything.
Thanks
Issie
