Has anybody had experince with the Methus Primeir 928 or Number Nime GXE 11 or 12 with 3D Studio?

Martin, We have a Metheus 928 in the office, but had to take it out of the machine because the Windows drivers were so bad … hicolor modes for playing AVI files left garbage on the screen. They would probably be O.K. for Autodesk applications, but I would recommend going with Vibrant Graphics' drivers. Our current favorite card is the Hercules Graphite; it does everything we want with no problems, and is very fast. John

Thanks for your comment. I ended up going for the Number Nine GXE. Their company policy allows you to trade in their cards for better models on a continious basis. They use Vibrant drivers. And last, when ever I called, I spoke to a rep in less the one minute – I called Methus for two days and still haven't gotten past an answering machine.

I've been using the Metheus 4 meg card for 2 months now for windows and 3DS. Works great, after returning a defective card! Original wouldn't do windows 256 color. They sent me another card next day air and all is well. I use the Panacea driver downloaded here. Their tech support only responds to FAX inquiries. Send them a fax and they call you back. I have an old #9 GXI level 25 and it works OK but is somewhat slow in true color. Better get that tradein claim in writing. When I asked about trading up to a TC card they said they would refer a buyer to me and let me make my own deal. Good luck.
