Writting skills and curriculum development should be at a higher level
in Instructor certification. I don't think every ACAD teacher should have to
show that they can develop curriculum ?

Roger,
If an instructor can't develop exercises, tests, problems, and course outlines,
what are we to expect as qualifications? Shouldn't an instructor be required
to read, write and spell properly?

Well I was thinking along the lines of developing exercise materials. I
don't think every intro level teacher should have to prove that the can develop
exercise materials. After all ther are some marvelous books on the market
filled with excercises (nudge, nudge, wink, wink). They should be able to
create an outline (of course) and write up a test if necessary. But I wonder
how many ATC Instructor's do this on a regular basis ? While I was teaching
part-time I only prepared 2 exams over 4 years.
