#HRQ user dialogue

Thanks for the evaluation of HRQFX. It appears that it is
a tool aimed direcly at the professional and that is where my problem
lies. I wish there were other users talking on cserve who could
share tips and clear up some of the early on confusion a person
experiences on the leaning curve.
I've been hearing so much about Voodoo shop from Mac
owners (my brother included) that the Evil Box syndrome is settling
in. I needed to hear your input.
So it's Shakey Town! Do you shock-mount the machinery? Do
you know an architect named William Roddy Cook who lives in the same
city as you. The two of us and another arch were office and friends
for life till the smell of suntan oil damaged their brains and they
relocated there. They used to call me during the week with sea and
surf updates.(friends?)

PS – I don't know a William Roddy Cook in Newport Beach, or anywhere,
for that matter. Is he a member of the AIA?

Roddy migrated west from Dallass to Sedona, Ariz. opening a
firm there for several years. Later he joined our other friend in
Newport Beach to work in an office there( the office name escapes me
though,sorry ). I was invited to come
also but sadly I couldn't drag family roots and all that far. Roddy
remains in
Newport Beach while the other lives in a Bucky Fuller special with
multiple spouses in Oregon as per his life-long dream.
Is most of your work Architectural? With the work stations
running acad it sounds as though the models must be incredibly
complex. The projects must be very special…….and
"sniffle"…fun!? The reason I became an architectural
illustrator was to remain close to the process w/out the hassles of
direct employement as an artichoke. Now not only do I have the love
for arch. but the
additional love for grafix. Both are illusive concerns. I was hoping
that the digital approach would give me a new point of view and it
has but the learning curve is difficult w/out the necessary support
group around me. So, Hey, I'm a student again! Cool!
Since repro costs are so high for printing
digital output that leaves video. I'd love to run dual screens thru
a Targa+ or maybe try the Scando. Video is expensive too but atleast
I would have more flexibility.

We do lots of architectural work, and are getting more and more into the
character animation lately. Whatever pays the bills! <g>

Have you seen our Singing Mouse animation called "Call Waiting" that
was on the Autodesk demo reel, and won 1st place in the Autodesk
Images Awards in the general category last year? That's what I mean
by character animation!
I thought it meant that you hired a bunch of characters that were
hanging around on the street, and gave them jobs as animators.
