#Contributions Needed!
3 messages in this thread
Animotion is pleased to announce the forthcoming release of The
Archictectural 3D Toolkit CDROM! This CDROM was designed to help
professionals in the AEC and related fields get up and running with
3D Studio as quickly as possible. It contains many great items
including:
Highly detailed 3D Objects
Tileable, seamless texture maps
Sample images and animations
Lots of educational materials
Bundled software for multimedia production
Animotion is interested in soliciting contributions from AEC
individuals using 3D Studio for inclusion on the CDROM. If you have
architectural images, flics or animations on tape, we would love to
include them as a source of inspiration. Along with each image, there
will be a paragraph or two of background text on the project and the
firm that created it.
We also need high quality 3D Objects. These can be: 1) interior items
like furniture, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, etc. 2) Exterior
items like signage, lighting, people & shrubs/trees mapped to
polygons, etc.
One last item: Tips From the Experts. I need verbage from architects
describing principles and issues surrounding the successful use of
computer 3D graphics as a presentation tool.
Reimubursement for contribution will range from discounts on the
CDROM, to a free CDROM, to royalty fees based on distribution. Please
call me via voice or respond here for further discussion.
I look forward to hearing from you!

I've a few customers that may have the right stuff! Can you give us
some hints on when you plan to be done? What about the cost of such a
CD? Finnaly, do you have plans to sell this through the Autodesk MM
dealers? I spend tons of time selling, and would be interested in
some sort of a deal…
Dr Pixel (of NW Tech)
The CD is tentatively scheduled for a November 1st ship date. We
believe the price will be Retail $395.00. I don't believe that it
will be distributed through dealers, just because I'm a small outfit,
and I don't think I have the time to support a large distribution
network. That's not a firm decision though, so I am certainly open to
suggestions.
If you have a client with objects, please share more info with me! I
already have about 75 really great objects created, but would
certainly like to add even more value to the CD.
