Hello Mike, I just heard a very Disturbing Rumour. the Rumour goes….Someone named Harv Laser wile at SIGGRAPH spoke to some of Imagine 3.0's Beta testers who told him that there was NO WAY that Imagine 3.0 would be released before October. If this is true I am going to be VERY UPSET, but Please let me know NOW if this is TRUE. Reason I ask you to let me know now is, at least I'll be forewarned of the Delay. If you DO NOT give me this forewarning and I do not recieve Imagine 3.0 by September 7 1993(willing to give a little leeway) I will consider this a Breach of promise and a personal insult and will cancel my order. Please if the Rumour is true have the courtesy to inform us. Also if this rumour is pure Rubbish Please let me know so I can thoroughly Chastise the person who posted this rumour. I'm HOPING the rumour is untrue BTW. I believe the rumour is now circulating on the Imagine Mailing list too BTW.

I am truly amazed at the amount of bull shit that people seem to feel the need to spread. Imagine is worked on each and every day, we hope to get the software out as soon as we can. I can not give you a specific day, no one could but I can tell you that we have no intention of working to a October delivery date. Please inform those folks who feel the need to just flap their lips for the sake of wasting air to shut up. Impulse is very open about our working practice. We have never been on time, so we try an be somewhat vague about our delivery dates. If you are not comfortable with Impulse and feel that there is some contract between you and us then please let me strike your order from the data base. We are not interested in fostering ill will with any user. You should call the office to do so, and please use the 800 number to do so. If the truth be know Peter, we will never be done with Imagine, all we are able to do is give you the current version we have at some date along the continual time line of development. I think that the long wait between versions makes people nervous, from this version on we will not be waiting so long to offer users new versions with less new features but a more immediate response to the pressing issues that develope in your business and personal needs. Recently I too heard this rumor, I would ask you this, Who has Mr. Laser talked too, names please, and why is he taking his time to tell you something that he heard from a "BETA TESTER". I personally know all of the Beta sites and I assure you that if anyone of these people have expressed an opinion of this nature then they are obviously interested in some other agenda than the one put forth for them to follow. We are doing our best to bring you high powered software, at what we think is a very resonable price. Considering the recent introduction of several other vendors, I would personally feel as though I was being held hostage at the amount that some are charging for upgrades that really dont offer that much. If we are late, it is not because we want to be, it is because we are doing the right thing instead of just doing something. Now you like others must make a decision, do you want to support Impulse or do you want to become a member of the tabloid babblers who, because they have nothing to say, seem only to find the negative thing to say. As a final note Peter, The contract between you and Impulse begins only when we cash your check or debit your credit card. We will do neither until we have a product for you to use. If you have some pressing job to accomplish, please use 2.0 it still works quite nicely and many thousands of professionals are using it every day. I look forward to your response and trust that you will are satisfied with my response.

I, for one, am content to wait until Impulse is ready to ship V3.0. I do NOT want to be a beta tester! 🙂
