Care to tell us what the Ethernet PCMCIA card for the Amiga is
called? Who makes it? How does one get it….:)
Uh, geez, I'd love to Jonathan and I just happen to have right
here… everything but that. I _thought_ I'd seen it in the Aug. AW
but I can't find it now. Must've seen it elsewhere.
In any case, I copied down the company name and put it in my magazine
but I'll have to prowl the office to find it. Soon.

OK, I've retrieved the dope on the PCMCIA Ether card. Available from:

Evidently they also have a serial adapter. That's all I know.

No, a Serial Communications adapter AND an Ethernet adapter. Both
with software.
Actually, Ethernet is a terrible waste! Check out HP's 100-Base-VG for
a GREAT improvement – 10 times faster and you get to keep your UTP
wiring. Course, some people are saying that it's not Ethernet at
all. I say, who cares? It works.
The difference is that you don't have to pull your signals out of the
digital soup; you only _receive_ your signals. Why anyone would
badmouth this arrangement is beyond me.

The combo serial/ethernet card sounds like a great product!
About Fast Ethernet: its a shame that there are vendors shipping Fast
Ethernet cards *now* for less than Amiga Ethernet cards go for…:(
