…. it was safe from all those Christmas cards, and to get on CIS when you-know-who was out of the country, just LOOK at what is "Peking" in here!! Hi gang! Greeings from Beijing! Proof yet again that there really is NO way to escape, but hope this message does reach all of you reading it, and finds you happy and healthy. As you noticed I did not get on much before or after the break (my gift to all of you!) soooo, this let me take this opportunity to say both THANKS for the best year yet in 1993 and to wish you all the very best in this new year. I used to have my doubts that the years could continue to improve but with grrrrrrreat people like you to work with I have learned that it does indeed! So here is to making 1994 even bigger and better than '93!! In case it makes you all feel any better I can let you know that another thing that you can't seem to escape from in this world is …. computer virus!! We arrived at the lab here early Sunday morning to do what should have been (by now) a fairly simple installation and setup. Well, let's just say we DID have the lab running by Monday morning but the @#% virus is still lurking around and jumps up to bite us once in a while, but we are surviving. This is a particularly nasty strain as it can seem to survive even a low level format, and go undetected by even my latest download of McAfee "scan" software! Oh well, think how boring a straightforward setup would be right??!! Well, it is late (here at least) and so I think I am going to try some of that (what did they call it?)……. oh yeah, sleep. Such a technoid! I still am not hooked up to ETS, ATC and AC sections. Jeff is having problems. Anyway, sorry to hear about the virus, better it stays in the machine and not in your body! Grace

Hi Grace, Great to have you here. I was talking with a Kevin Gibson of Digimation the other day, he mentioned he was talking with you about their videos for 3ds. It is a good product and should be promoted by the ATC net. At any rate Happy new year and will be talking to you soon on the other channels. PAT

Grace, Imagine meeting you here … it's great to have you online. As for Wayne, why would be surprised the niether international phone lines (nor the accompanying bills), nor computer viruses, nor time zones, nor jet lag or any hint of the need for sleep, would keep him from proving once again that he IS the #1 technoid and that there is NO audience he can NOT reach! Milt

Milt, Are you SURE Wayne doesn't have a sattelite phone uplink in his briefcase? If Wayne gets on a Safari Bus and then calls us up from the middle of the Sahara desert, I'm not going to be surprised anymore.<g> Mark K.
