#AniPro 'Illegal Instruct

I just bought AniPro, and after following installation procedures it will not
start. I simply get the error message "Abnormal program termination: Illegal
instruction / CS:EIP = F000h:000017B7h".
Hope you can help — I've been unable to connect with an Autodesk Tech Support
Rep, and will likely not be around when they call back.
My system description: IBM clone (has been absolutely compatible with
everything for the last 4 years) 33 Mhz 386 with 387 math coprocessor, 8 MB
RAM, using DOS 5.0. I've stripped out all TSRs to no avail. I'm using a
Truevision VideoVGA graphics board.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

The error appears once you type 'ANI' to start the program? or when you try to
select a high resolution driver? If I read correctly, it sounds like you're
not even getting into the program at it's 320×200 default configuration.
If so, I'd have to suspect some other system conflict. If you have any disk
cache or shadowram active, it might cause a problem similar to a loaded TSR.
Are you running any memory managers? Have you tryed booting from a Dos disk to
make sure the system is clean?
Please get me a little more information and let's see how far we can get.

Bob, you replied to my request for help a couple of days ago. You were right
on in instructing me to boot with a DOS disk — I thought I'd eliminated
386MAX, but I'd overlooked a line in CONFIG.SYS. Now ANI works fine with
386^MAX eliminated entirely — is there a way to have both?
I tried something I read in someone else's thread, which was to use the
parameter -m 5333333. I can't find reference to that in the manuals, and I'm
not sure what it's doing, other than it somehow gets AAPRO to work without
disabling 386MAX.
If you can solve this mystery, it looks like I'll be having screen resolution
questions next <g><but seriously!>.
