Can you help me please?? I have release 12 and I cannot get my printer to print
drawings. I have a Hewlett Packard Deskject 500 and I use the HPLaserJet
driver. The printer will only print 3/4 of the drawing space. I have tried
moving the drawing to different coordinates and setting the printer to
landscape and nothing seems to work. It will not print on all of the drawing
space. The drawing looks like it was actually cut off at the 3/4 mark.
Elizabeth, I'm not sure how you're plotting (extents, limits, window) but the
most successful way to plot is to put a rectangle around your drawing that is
the plotters maximum plot size. Printers cannot plot to the very edge of the
paper; therefore the plot size must be smaller than 8.5×11. On HP Laserjets I
use 7.95×10.35. So I make a rectangle that size and position it around the
drawing to be plotted. I then plot WINDOW using the intersections of the lower
left and upper right corners. Under paper size you MUST enter 7.95 as the width
and 10.35 as the height (yes in that order). You must also pay attention to the
rotation angle. If you need a landscape print the rotation angle must be 90.
This is the opposite of a regular pen plotter.
