It's Done! Thank you all so much for your patience… I know it's been a long wait for us to finally, finally get Imagemaster R/t out the door. The extra time has (mostly) been very well spent, with additional goodies going in more often than not. Disks are disked, packages are packaged, and shipment begins tomorrow. We estimate it will take as long as a week to get all the orders out, so some of you are definitely going to "get yours" before others do. Sorry about that, but it's either that or hold up all most of em waiting till we have them ALL ready… nah. :^) So… what's the deal? Of course, it does everything that Imagemaster did, including some things Imagemaster was _supposed_ to do but didn't (like anim generation in 9.52… :^( ) Some highlights of R/t that come to mind immediately, in no particular order: – "Hot" Retargetable to Opalvision, FC24, AGA, std Amigas and HAM-E's – New UI: cleaner, faster, prettier, easier, more organized, modal – Video Toaster framestore read/write capable – High compression _lossless_ 24-bit file read/write (2x iff24, on average) – Catalogs: select images by… image. Too cool! – Save extensive text notes INSIDE images (IFF only). Write anything you like. – Quick Help: Tools provide a line of "I do this…" prompting – Detailed Help: Press the HELP key, bingo – the right page in the manual – New tools: Splined curve generation, save region as IShape, etc – New additions to the tools: Re-editing of regions by point/polygon – Completely new filmstrip system, better looking, better performing – Visual "Reminder" for area selections – More sophisticated aspect-correct handling – New "shapes" for area selections – Continuous memory feedback – Onion Skin transparent operation of compose operations – Powerful new CMYK color separation ink correction controls (Finally!) – New palette "mix" area with smudge, etc… an artist's dream We've rebuilt Imagemaster from the ground up – we did it in such a way that hopefully, it will be very familiar (but better!) for current users; and also much, much, much friendlier for new users and novice image manipulators.
