STARS.IPX came with 3DSr2 and allowed a starry sky background which
responded to camera movements to be applied in Video Post.
STARS2.IPX came with the Yost IPAS Boutique #1 ("Image Processing") and
added the ability to do motion-blurred stars by specifying shutter open
percentage and blur dimming, plus added the ability to specify the size of the
stars in pixels.
STARS3.IPX came with the upgrade to Yost IPAS Boutique #1 to take advantage
of the 64-bit color space and Gamma correction of 3DSr3, and adds the ability
to randomly generate a field of stars rather than having to import an .STB file
if you don't want "seen from Earth" stars.
How about a STARS4.IPX which adds — TWINKLING stars!? Just add two new
parameters: Luma Chaos and Chroma Chaos! Voila! Comments?
Great idea! When are you coming out with it? (G) I also want more control over
size variance and moving star fields.
