Is there any way to enter these into an English version of 3DS?

<<Is there any way to enter these into an English version of 3DS?>> I assume you are referring to japanese character sets? If so, which version/release/nationality of the software are you using, and where did you get the characters? -Brian

Version 3 English and we are looking for a solution. We don't have the charactors now (unless we run from within Win 3.1J). Thanks.

I am not aware of any japanese character sets. You could use a truetype to mesh builder or something like that to create them, or maybe someone has a library of fonts that I am not aware of. -Brian

What if we run 3DS in Win 3.1J. It has Japanese fonts. The question is can 3DS handle double byte? Is there a J version of 3DS?

Chris, I believe there is a Japanese version of 3DS, but I don't know if there are restrictions as to which countires it can be sold in. Running 3DS under 3.1J would have no affect. 3DS runs in DOS or a DOS shell. The type of fonts your using in a GUI would have no impact whatsoever. If all you are looking for are japanese character sets, I am sure there are people out there who have them for sale as a library of meshes. If not, you could make them yourself by converting the 3.1J character sets you have to DXF files. There is a utility on this forum to do that. TT2OBT.ZIP in the 3DS library. -Brian

I will give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
