At one point we thought we had seen a function to output a single flic
frame as a DIB, during runtime. Is there such a function and where would it be
documented.

If you are refering to the Windows player, I don't know of a way to save any
image. However if you are refering to the AAPRO software itself, you can save
any image or series of images into .DIB format. Right click on the picture
button in the Files dialog box and select BMP,RLE,DIB as your file format
output.
