Paul, I guess what really bothers me is the absence of Adesk or Yost people for comment. There is the possibility that there is disiinformation going on! Orlando is uncomfortablly near the carribean and Haiti etc. but I keep remembering the " Bay of Pigs for some reason! I guess it will all be clear soon! You are right about Adesk and Yost they are a class act! I'm sure it'll be better than we could have imagined.Gary Listening to the heavy weights trading correpondence at this level has been VERY exciting!

Gary: I don't know where the confusion came from. Everything Gary announced is going to be part of R4, is produced by Autodesk, and is supported by Autodesk, just like past releases. It's just that the new features that are so exciting are IPAS routines rather than part of the core code. But they're IPAS routines that come with 3DSr4. David CADalyst

>> Orlando is uncomfortablly near the carribean and Haiti etc. but I keep remembering the " Bay of Pigs for some reason! I understand your concern: Last evening Alan Iglesias and I found Gary Yost sitting on the floor in the corner of the hotel lobby surrounded by some foriegners from the east. Gary was wearing a weird head band with all kinds of wires comming off it leading to a small transmitter. Nearby there was a notebook computer with a receiver. Gary was sitting in Yoga style doing some sort of chant and the graphics on the computer were moving about. Better watch out, Gary might have been reprogrammed by high tech spies from the competition. <BG>

Don, I wasn't worried about things of technical origin but about all that voodoo doo doo! Look for the Elvis booth. Could be communists though. Check the head band for an Oak Chip! Da** , They're bankrupt and still at. Please pardon my earlier halucinations…Adesk and Yost are class! Sheepishly asking to be excused, Gary

Funny you should mention the headband with wires and asian people and laptops… there's a company in NYC that makes JUST such a thing. It scans brain waves, and you can "think" art and stuff with it. Very cool. Checked it out Siggraph '93. John Tissavary (LUNA cie)

I'm not sure if it was in the edge or not, since I only got a quick fly-through of that part of SIGGRAPH. In '93 the company that made the device had a booth on the show floor, and that's where I checked it out. John Tissavary (LUNA cie)

Probably different then, cause what I'm thinking of has been in the Edge for the last 2 Sigs.
