#R4 Upgrade Q's ???

Hello all!
Here are a few questions about the 4.0 upgrade to that wonderful 3d Studio
program…
Do we have to trade in (and be without) our all precious dongle, or is this a
different upgrade?
Do we keep our old manuals and get new ones, or do we send those in too?
What kind of pricing is there for educational users and how is the upgrade done
?

Autodesk would never present an upgrade program which would put the end user
out of production, even temporarily.

I believe the upgrade package will only have manuals for the new Release 4
features, but I am not sure, so don't take that as the final word.

Educational pricing will be available, but I don't have that information in
front of me. Educational versions of R1 or R2 are not upgradable. I beleive
Educational copies of R3 are upgradable through your dealer.

Judging from previous upgrades, you will get a new box with new disks and
new documentation but no lock, since you already have one.
