I want to purchase an accelerator for my 2000, but I have a few questions. I hope I am not intruding, but I read your message about the Platinum Accelerator and since it is one that I am considering, I thought you might be the person to ask. 1. Does the 50MHz Platinum Accelerator have a SCSI interface? 2. What factors caused you to obtain the Platinum instead of a GVP model? //daniel on autopilot in paradise \X/ powered by intel and motorola

Daniel, No, the Derringer, at any speed does not have a scsi interface. It does have a single 72 pin (32 bit) simm slot. It installs over the 68000 socket. I went with the Deringer because I've always had a positive experience with CSA. I bought a Mega-Midget Racer for my A1000 a long time age and was very happy with it. CSA has a generous upgrade offer for the Derringer. I was originally looking for a good way to increase 32 bit ram and the extra speed cpu is nice also. I already had a 50mhz 68000 but I couldn't use it in the MMR. I never really looked at GVP for the historical reasons I mentioned. Ron
