Chris, after seeing your post, I figured you might be able to give me some advice. I just bought a 1000 system the other day for $75. I bought one in '85, but sold it a couple of years later intending to upgrade to a 2000…but I never did. Anyway, do you have any info on where I can get any stuff for the 1000? I used to pick up an A Amiga World mag every once in a while to see what was going on, and I could have sworn I saw some sort of box that would give the 1000 more memory, an IDE or SCSI interface, and a 2000 slot. Have you heard of this? Any info would be much appreciated. I'd make an offer on your 'Insider' board, but I'd really like to be able to expand it to at least 4 meg. – John

Your best bet for A1000 upgrades would be the Amazing Computer resource guide that they publish once a year (I believe, they may pub it more often). By flipping through there you can find just about anything and everything that the A1000 can still get hold of. (Which isn't a lot.) The items that you are looking for DO exist, I've seen them when I was looking to upgrade my A1000 (before I just gave in and bought a 1200!). But you need to hurry, I don't think anyone still produces much for the A1000… it's all remaining supplies at this point. If I can be of any help, please let me know. Chris – Fast and Low on my '020!
