#VLM Updates
8 messages in this thread
John, Thanks for your help. At this time I am using the 3DS r2 driver
and it works OK. I dont get the 1280 x 1024 that I have become
spoiled with. As you say "pitifully slow" portion of the card, I could
buy a $50 Tseng card that would run circles around this MGA in dos.
The release 2 driver will suffice for now. Let me know if you hear of
any news, and I will do the same. Thanks again for your help. Chris
Please give Matrox a call and harrass them severely into writing a R3 driver
like they promised. They should be able to whip up an intermediary version for
us, but only if we scream loud enough. I'm planning my monthly haranguing
phone call tommorrow. Ask for Kim Pallister.

I will be screaming with you, as my demo PCI MGA2 is on the way!!!

Excellent! I heard from Brian Massey at Vibrant that the in-line patch for
MGA's will be ready in one or two months.

Lets see, convert normal time and space for us, convert to vendor
time/space, multiply by three or four and you have actual delivery
time.
Yeah, delivery time. But if you really bug them big time they may
upload a patch on the forum for us to get ASAP. It's not like it
would be useful for anyone without 3DS R3, so safety couldn't be an
issue. And I'm sure all 3DSers out there would appreciate the
opportunity to download the patch and not have to wait for the U.S.
Snail.
John, I'll bug the hell out of them. Let me know if you hear
anything and thanks for your input. Chris

Only multiply by three or four??? My you hold your vendors to a tough schedule
<G>.
Watch this space for VLM updates…
