I'll make this short and sweet— Is there a Player/converter for the
Amiga that will handle Windoze .AVI animations? I have a friend that has
some .AVI anims that I would like to play on my Ami' either as-is or
converted to .IFF with or without sound (does'nt matter I'm really
interested in the Graphics anyway.) PD, Commercial, ShareWare, AnyWhere?

I understand MainActor, a shareware program, can read 8bit .AVI files. You
aren't likely to see more than this as .AVI file compression schemes aren't
documented, and in some cases are proprietary.

You would'nt happen to know this for sure would you? MainActor looks
like a pretty heafty download and at 2400bps = $$$. It's not all that
important. It's just another one of those things I like to say to my
WinDoze fiends —–> "You know, I can do that on my Amiga!" Oh yea!
PROVE IT.
Well, this might be one of those times that I just can't say that. . .
