Is it possible to get on the Internet's LightWave Mailing list via CIS?

Yes, it's possible. I *think* that the address to subscribe is
lightwave-admin@netcom.com. The mail can be delivered right to your
mailbox here on CIS.

If I'm not mistakne Steve that is no longer the correct site for the LW
Mailing list….. I believe the new site is as follows
listserv@netcom.com
Put subscribe in the Body of your msg and as the subject.

Be aware that receiving Internet email on CompuServe costs money– CI$ charges
"postage due" for receiving outside email. Wierd.

Only if you are on the Standard pricing plan … not so if you are on the
Alternative pricing plan.

While "lightwave-admin@netcom.com" will work, it requires me to forward it
to the mailing list server to have it do it's work. To subscribe to the
Lightwave mailing list immediately, send e-mail to "listserv@netcom.com".
In the message, include the following:
subscribe lightwave-l
end
That's it. To subscribe to the Toaster list, substitute "lightwave-l"
with "toaster-l".
