For those of you who haven't heard HSC software announced last week at the autodesk press conference that it is currently working on a time based version of Kai's Power Tools to run as Ipas filters within 3D Studio. These award winning filters which currently run in applications supporting the Adobe Photoshop plugin architecture give new levels of artistic freedom to graphic designers and visual artists.. the first KPT filter to be ported will be the gradient designer which is the hub around which all of the other KPT user interface filters revolve. The gradient designer will retain all of the features it has become famous for, and will be augmented with a timeline feature which will allow any of the parameters in the gradient to be animated over time. One of the features of the KPT Gradient Designer is that the interface has a feature window which allows you to interactively place and view the effects you are creating in real time exactly how the will appear when applied over an existing image. In addition the user will have keyframing abilities similar to the 3DS keyframer module to control the animated effects. The KPT Gradient Designer combined with the features and power of 3D Studio will allow the artist to create an almost infinite variety of visual effects including lgihting effects, glows, bump maps etc. the possibilities are limited only by the imagination. The Gradient Designer effects will be applied either from the materials editor to achieve new levels of texture control on objects or from the keyframer/Video post as image processing effects and multispectral gradient backgrounds. Stay tuned for more information regarding KPT for 3D Studio…… and address inquiries to Jim Dudman 74431,2012 HSC Software on this forum… the KPT gradient Designer will Be available this fall followed shortly by the KPT Texture explorer. An algorithmic texture generator which allows the user to create a virtually infinite variety of textures/animated textures which can be seamlessly tiled or scaled to the exact needed size. Stay tuned on these products they will be hot!!! hot!!! hot!!! adios for now Jim dudman Special Projects HSC Software

Hi arturo, As of right now, it is undecided what the policy might be, however if you are a registered user of kpt for windows or the Mac , I am sure we will do something…. however without letting the cat completely out of the bag,it will be a new product with a slew of added functionality.. now…. my lips are sealed.
